Special recognition for students who perform with us
For each concert that a student performs with us, we provide them with a certificate of participation and a letter detailing their involvement. In May 2011, we recognized Carissa Roberts (timpani), Shawna Wolf (clarinet and oboe), and Jessie Spielman (violin 1).
CPS is a non-profit organization by the sponsorship of the Johnson County Arts & Humanities Council
We are sponsored in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.

Former Sheridan-area resident Leonard Bernstein
Lenny and his brother spent one of the summers in the 1940s on a ranch in the area, and Humphrey Burton reports he came into town almost every night to drink with the locals. I invited him back to Sheridan in the 1990s. He sent this photo in reply.
Former conductor/composer with the Cloud Peak Symphony in Wyoming; former 26-year columnist on Christian spirituality; married; two daughters; one grandson (yay!). Member, Holy Name Catholic Community.
